Environmental
Committed to China’s “Dual Carbon” goals, GIIHG advances green manufacturing across its value chain. We support the transition toward a lower-carbon industrial future. We continuously improve resource efficiency and reduce emissions, by integrating sustainability into operations and supply chains. We operate ten production bases recognized as National Green Factories and invest in low-carbon technologies, clean production and circular economy initiatives.
Guangzhou Cable: Building a Green Factory
Guangzhou Cable integrates green and low-carbon principles across its entire production and operation process. The company has established a green management system covering the full product lifecycle and actively uses environmentally friendly materials, such as low-smoke halogen-free compounds and TPE, to reduce pollutant emissions at source.
To improve energy efficiency, Guangzhou Cable has built a 30,000-square-meter rooftop photovoltaic power station and introduced a smart energy management platform. These initiatives have increased the share of green electricity in its energy mix to 52%.
In 2025, Guangzhou Cable reduced carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1,272 tonnes, equivalent to the carbon sequestration capacity of around 11,000 mature fir trees. In the same year, the company was recognized as a national-level Green Factory.
Welltop: Reducing Over 10,000 Tonnes of CO₂ Emissions Annually Through Battery Recycling
R-Lithium Technology, a subsidiary of Welltop, has been engaged in power battery recycling and resource recovery for nearly a decade. The company has developed full-chain capabilities covering battery collection, second-life utilization, and material regeneration, forming a relatively complete closed-loop ecosystem for battery recycling.
In 2025, R-Lithium Technology processed nearly 40,000 tonnes of used batteries, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 10,000 tonnes. Its energy storage and battery-swapping business now covers several major cities across China. To date, the company has deployed more than 2,000 smart battery-swapping cabinets and nearly 50,000 battery packs, serving over 50,000 users, with average monthly battery swaps exceeding 2 million.
GZEG: Turning Waste into Power — 200,000 Tonnes of Waste Generating 80 Million kWh of Electricity
GZEG has long been engaged in clean energy equipment manufacturing and engineering services. Its self-developed high-speed steam turbines are widely used in waste-to-energy and biomass power generation projects.
One example is the Group’s first waste-to-energy project in Thailand. Equipped with a 9.9 MW extraction-condensing steam turbine generator unit, the project is expected to process approximately 200,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste each year. It can generate up to 80 million kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to saving around 66,000 tonnes of standard coal and meeting the power needs of approximately 57,000 local households. The project is also expected to reduce carbon emissions by 44,000 tonnes per year.
Wanbao Refrigerator: Customized Green Refrigeration Solutions for Global Markets
Green and customized refrigeration solutions have become a key driver of Wanbao Refrigerator’s international market expansion. Its SC-228F vertical display cooler is equipped with corrosion-resistant condenser pipes and a high-efficiency, energy-saving compressor, reducing daily power consumption by 20% compared with the industry average. The product is designed to meet the needs of outdoor markets in the Middle East and humid operating environments in Southeast Asia.
For the African market, Wanbao has developed the WCF142 solar-powered DC freezer, which features adaptive technology for a wide temperature range of 30°C to 55°C and a detachable energy storage battery module. Its average daily solar power generation can support eight hours of continuous cooling, while energy consumption is 40% lower than that of conventional products. The product secured orders worth several million yuan at the 138th Canton Fair.
Sunward: Advancing Core Electric Technologies for Greener Infrastructure Projects
With “pioneering innovation” at its core, Sunward is actively developing industry-leading electric technologies, including battery, motor, and electronic control systems. The company provides a diversified portfolio of electric solutions, including fully electric and range-extended equipment.
Sunward has developed more than 100 electrified products across categories such as earthmoving machinery, piling machinery, aerial work equipment, emergency rescue equipment, and mining equipment. These products have delivered strong economic and environmental benefits in real-world applications. For example, the SWDM520EE extended-range electric rotary drilling rig reduced energy-related costs by 80% in the Hannan Yangtze River Bridge project.
In 2025, revenue from Sunward’s electric equipment accounted for more than 12% of the company’s total revenue.
G-gas: Rooftop Solar System Generates 720,000 kWh of Green Electricity Annually
G-gas continues to advance energy-saving technology upgrades across key areas, including distributed photovoltaic power generation, heat exchanger upgrades, and waste heat recovery systems. At its Nansha plant, G-gas has made full use of approximately 5,000 square meters of rooftop space to build a distributed photovoltaic power generation system.
The system generates 720,000 kWh of electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 450 tonnes and saving over 88 tonnes of standard coal each year.
SFFG: Improving Quality and Efficiency Through Equipment Upgrades, with Energy Savings of Up to 50% per Unit
SFFG has addressed production challenges through equipment upgrades and technological innovation, achieving improvements in environmental compliance, energy efficiency, and industrial upgrading.
At its steel casting branch, the company carried out a dedicated energy-saving retrofit of its annealing furnaces. Following the upgrade, energy savings for a single unit reached 30% to 50%. Its forging subsidiary also completed a systematic upgrade of its hot die forging press, increasing production efficiency by more than 20%. The upgraded equipment now delivers product quality and precision well above the requirements for precision-grade die forgings, while output per shift for multiple product categories has repeatedly reached new highs. Compared with purchasing new equipment, the retrofit directly saved nearly RMB 10 million in costs.
